Leroy Springs & Co. recently announced the appointment of Cal Williams as its new Director of Golf. Williams will oversee management of golf operations at all Springs Golf courses including Chester Golf, Fort Mill Golf, Lancaster Golf and Springfield Golf.
Williams joins the Leroy Springs team from American Golf Corporation, where he worked in a variety of positions, most recently as the regional manager in Northern California, overseeing up to six golf courses. Cal grew up in Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens. He has strong southern roots and is grateful to return to the southeast closer to family.
“Cal is a great fit for our organization,” explained Tim Patterson, President of Leroy Springs & Co. “For over 70 years, our courses have been providing a quality recreation experience in their respective communities, and we look forward to continuing and enhancing that tradition. Cal’s experience and knowledge will be critical as we continue to serve these growing communities.”
Williams is tasked with supervising all golf staff and operations, delivering innovative programs, and growing the sport among youth and beyond its traditional demographic.
“I am looking forward to the opportunity to help further the Springs Golf tradition in a way that honors its long history in the community while bringing more people to the game,” said Cal Williams. “I hope to continue the successful leadership and principles of community service deeply rooted at each Springs Golf course and find innovative ways to keep golfers engaged and build even greater value for the Springs Golf membership.”
